PSG secured qualification in the Coupe de France but did not come away unscathed, with two additional injuries picked up—fortunately without major consequences.
Paris closed out 2025 with a trophy and a place in the next round of the Coupe de France, yet the club’s last two matches have resulted in four injuries in total. Lee Kang-in suffered a muscular injury during the Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo, while match hero Matvey Safonov broke his hand in the same game—an injury that remarkably did not prevent him from playing a decisive role until the end.
On Saturday night in Nantes, against amateur side Vendée Fontenay (4–0), two more PSG players finished the match injured. Sixteen-year-old David Boly, making his first professional appearance, was repeatedly targeted by heavy challenges and was forced off in tears after just half an hour. PSG later confirmed that the young right-back, “suffered a knock to the ankle and will remain under treatment this week.”
While the injury is not serious, it spoiled an otherwise memorable debut, marked by poorly controlled physical play from the opposition and lenient officiating. Quentin Ndjantou’s issue, however, was not caused by contact. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder “is suffering from hamstring discomfort, with further tests scheduled in the coming days,” according to the club.
Both injuries are considered minor, and the two youngsters could be available again when training resumes at the end of December. Bradley Barcola, who has been dealing with muscular fatigue, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was recently ill, are also expected to be fully fit for the restart in around a week.
