Just days after announcing the acquisition of KAS Eupen, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) have formalized the first official transfer between Paris Saint-Germain and the Belgian club, which now forms part of the QSI multi-club structure.
Recently integrated into the QSI group, KAS Eupen have appointed a senior PSG executive to a key leadership role. Pasquale Sensibile (54), who joined PSG in December 2022 as recruitment coordination lead, has been named Sporting Director of KAS Eupen. The Italian executive had previously held a similar position at Galatasaray, before his move to Paris.

A key role within the QSI multi-club project
Earlier in his career, Sensibile also worked at AS Roma and Sampdoria. At PSG, he was notably responsible for managing loaned players and played what Eupen described as “a key role in identifying and integrating global talent within PSG’s football project.”
In its official statement, KAS Eupen detailed the scope of his mission:
“As Sporting Director, Mr. Sensibile will oversee all sporting and technical operations at KAS Eupen, guiding squad planning, performance structures, and football strategy as QSI accelerates the club’s transformation. This appointment aims to ensure strong leadership and close alignment with QSI’s multi-club model, while laying the foundations for KAS Eupen’s long-term sporting structure.”
Luis Campos welcomes the appointment
QSI sporting advisor Luis Campos also reacted to Sensibile’s appointment on Eupen’s official website:
“We are very pleased that Pasquale is taking on this important role at Eupen. He brings exceptional expertise in talent development and squad building, and as a key member of PSG’s structure, he also ensures continuity and alignment within QSI’s football family.”
Sensibile: “A key moment in Eupen’s history”
After three years in Paris, Sensibile expressed his enthusiasm about the move:
“I am very happy to join KAS Eupen at a key moment in its history and at an important stage in the development of Qatar Sports Investments’ multi-club project. Having worked closely with Paris Saint-Germain, I fully understand the level of ambition and the pursuit of excellence that define QSI’s projects. I look forward to putting this experience at the service of Eupen and supporting the club as it enters this new phase of its development.”
A long-standing relationship between PSG and Eupen
Even prior to QSI’s acquisition, PSG already maintained close ties with KAS Eupen, having loaned or transferred several young players to the Belgian club in recent years, including Djeidi Gassama, Teddy Alloh, Nathan Bitumazala, and Garissone Innocent.
Former PSG midfielder Claude Makélélé also coached Eupen between November 2017 and June 2019, further illustrating the longstanding connection between the two clubs.
