Paris Saint-Germain have named their squad for the Intercontinental Cup final, scheduled for Wednesday, December 17 in Doha, and Luis Enrique can count on two major reinforcements. Both Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembélé, absent from Saturday’s Ligue 1 win in Metz, are included in the traveling group.

There is little respite for PSG before the winter break. The Parisian club still have two fixtures to navigate: first, the Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo, followed by a Coupe de France Round of 32 match on December 20 against Vendée Fontenay, to be played at La Beaujoire in Nantes.

Marquinhos and Dembélé back in the squad

PSG will have the opportunity to lift another trophy when they face Flamengo, who defeated Pyramids FC (2–0) in the semifinals. For the occasion, Luis Enrique has selected a 22-man squad, highlighted by the return of Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembélé.

The Brazilian captain had been forced off at half-time against Bilbao (0–0) in the Champions League due to muscular fatigue in his right hip, while the Ballon d’Or winner missed the trip to Metz after suffering from flu-like symptoms.

Also included in the squad is Senny Mayulu, who was likewise ill and unavailable in Metz. The young midfielder will travel to Doha slightly later than his teammates, continuing his recovery and joining the group on Monday, after the rest of the squad departs on Sunday.

Finally, Lucas Chevalier is also part of the traveling group. Fully recovered from his ankle injury, the goalkeeper remained on the bench against Metz, with Luis Enrique opting to start Matvey Safonov instead.
