Paris Saint-Germain will play the final of the Intercontinental Cup on Wednesday, December 17, in Qatar. While the opponent is still unknown, the venue for the match has now been officially confirmed.

With only eight days left before the final, PSG is waiting to see who will emerge from the path involving Flamengo, Cruz Azul, and Pyramids FC. The date and kickoff time were already set — 6:00 PM (French time) — with the match scheduled to be broadcast live on French television. What had not yet been revealed was the location of the final.

The Final Will Be Played at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

FIFA has announced that the match will take place at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, a 40,000-seat venue located in Al Rayyan, roughly 20 km west of Doha. Designed with an architectural style inspired by desert tents, the stadium hosted seven matches during the 2022 World Cup.

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium will also host the “Derby of the Americas” on Wednesday, December 10, between Flamengo— recent Copa Libertadores winners — and Cruz Azul, champions of North America.

The winner of that match will then face Pyramids FC on December 13 at the same venue.

Whoever wins that play-off will meet PSG in the final on December 17.
