On the eve of Saturday night’s Ligue 1 clash between Metz and Paris Saint-Germain (kick-off at 7:00 p.m.), the club released its official pre-match medical update. PSG will be without at least two players for the trip to Metz, including captain Marquinhos, while Ousmane Dembélé remains highly doubtful.

With barely three days between matches, the Parisian squad is expected to be slightly depleted for this fixture. The medical report contains few surprises, with all listed absences already anticipated.

As expected, Achraf Hakimi will not be available. The Moroccan international is still in the recovery phase and is set to depart directly for the Africa Cup of Nations before making another appearance for PSG. He does not even feature in the medical report, confirming his unavailability.

Marquinhos, who was forced off at halftime in Bilbao due to a physical issue, will also miss the match. The Brazilian defender is suffering from muscular fatigue in his right hip, making the timing of the Metz fixture too soon for a return. His participation in next Wednesday’s Intercontinental Cup final is now uncertain, and he is currently continuing treatment.

There is better news regarding Lucas Chevalier. After missing matches against Rennes and Bilbao due to ankle trauma sustained against Monaco, the goalkeeper no longer appears on the medical report and is therefore fit for selection. Whether he will start remains to be seen. Similarly, Lucas Beraldo has fully recovered from left calf overload and is also available.

As for Ousmane Dembélé, the winger is no longer ill following his recent bout of flu. However, he has not yet rejoined full team training, having resumed individual sessions only, which strongly suggests he will miss the Metz encounter. With Désiré Doué having returned to competition in Bilbao on Wednesday, PSG’s attacking options remain limited, as both players who have been sorely missed in recent weeks are still not fully operational at the same time.
