Paris Saint-Germain’s historic 2025 season will receive a prestigious tribute during New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Champs-Élysées. The City of Paris has officially unveiled the program for the night of December 31, 2025, and PSG — along with Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé — will be at the heart of the festivities.

As thousands of spectators gather on the iconic avenue to welcome 2026, a spectacular 10-minute video mapping will be projected onto the Arc de Triomphe just before midnight. According to the city’s announcement, sport — and especially PSG’s extraordinary year — will be prominently featured, with several visual nods to the club’s achievements.

A Historic Year Celebrated in the Heart of Paris

The tribute comes as a fitting conclusion to the greatest year in PSG’s history. In 2025, the Parisian club completed a legendary sextuple, winning:

  • Ligue 1
  • Coupe de France
  • Trophée des Champions
  • UEFA Champions League
  • UEFA Super Cup
  • Intercontinental Cup

This achievement places PSG alongside only FC Barcelona (2009) and Bayern Munich (2020) as the only clubs to have accomplished such a feat.

Dembélé’s Ballon d’Or Projected on the Arc de Triomphe

According to Le Parisien, one of the highlights of the video mapping will be a visual tribute to Ousmane Dembélé, crowned Ballon d’Or 2025. His trophy will be projected directly onto the Arc de Triomphe — a powerful symbol of both individual excellence and collective success.

Dembélé was the attacking leader of Luis Enrique’s side during the 2024–25 season, producing the best campaign of his career with 35 goals and 16 assists in 53 matches. His influence had already been celebrated earlier in the year, notably at Roland-Garros, where he presented the Champions League trophy to the public.

A Final Touch: Paris, Football, and Unity

The city has also planned a segment referencing the upcoming Paris derbies against Paris FC in January 2026, adding a local football flavor to the celebration. The evening will conclude with Imagine by John Lennon, chosen to usher in the new year “in a spirit of peace, hope, and fraternity.”

According to Le Parisien, the initiative has been warmly received by PSG, which appreciates seeing the club and its players honored by the city after the most exceptional year in its history.

Paris, football, and history — all meeting under the Arc de Triomphe to welcome 2026.
