While Paris Saint-Germain’s winter transfer window remains extremely quiet in terms of arrivals, it could become more active on the departure front. In addition to Noham Kamara, who is increasingly likely to leave this winter, Eddy Doué could also exit the club before the end of the January window.
PSG’s winter mercato leaning toward departures
As expected, PSG have shown little interest in strengthening the squad during the January window. However, several young players are attracting attention and could be allowed to leave, starting with 18-year-old centre-back Noham Kamara, who is being monitored by Lyon and Strasbourg.
Another name has now emerged: Eddy Doué.
Eddy Doué attracting interest
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder, who signed his first professional contract last summer after joining PSG from Dunkerque in 2024, is enjoying a strong reputation within the club’s youth ranks. Playing mainly with PSG’s Espoirs, Doué notably impressed in a standout performance against Chelsea in the Premier League International Cup on December 3.
According to L’Équipe, Estrela Amadora, a club competing in Portugal’s top division, have opened talks to sign the Franco-Ivorian midfielder, who is also the cousin of Désiré Doué. A French club, whose identity has not yet been revealed, is also in negotiations.
PSG open to a free transfer
With six months remaining on his contract, PSG would be willing to let Eddy Doué leave on a free transfer, provided the deal includes a sell-on percentage.
Luis Enrique’s stance on youth players
Asked last month about the possibility of Eddy Doué joining the first team during the second half of the season, Luis Enrique kept his response deliberately general:
“I won’t speak individually about every young player, because that’s not how it works,” said the Spanish coach.
“At their level, they must always be ready — whatever the time or the day.”
