On the eve of PSG vs Paris FC in the Round of 32 of the Coupe de France, the club has released its official medical update. Six players will be unavailable for Monday night’s match, with an unexpected late absence confirmed.
No returns from the infirmary
PSG will face Paris FC on Monday evening (kick-off 9:10 pm) without any reinforcements from the medical room. As expected, none of the injured players have recovered in time, and the situation has been worsened by the late withdrawal of Lucas Hernandez, who is ill and has been ruled out as a precaution.
Hernandez added to the list
The French international defender is sick and remains at rest, according to the club’s statement. His absence comes as a surprise and adds to an already depleted squad for this Coupe de France derby.
Injury situation unchanged
The three players already sidelined through injury remain unavailable:
- Quentin Ndjantou continues his rehabilitation protocol
- Lee Kang-in is undergoing adapted training
- Matvey Safonov is also working individually following his hand fracture
Lee’s return is considered relatively close, while Safonov is still expected back late January or early February.
CAN absences continue
In addition to the injured and ill players, Achraf Hakimi and Ibrahim Mbaye remain unavailable due to the Africa Cup of Nations, with both players set to contest their respective semi-finals on Wednesday.
Total absentees for PSG vs Paris FC
PSG will therefore be without six players for this second derby of the season against Paris FC.
