Paris Saint-Germain ended a historic 2025 on a high note with a comfortable 4–0 victory over Vendée Fontenay in the Coupe de France, sealing qualification for the Round of 16. However, the win came at a small cost, as two academy players have since joined the club’s injury list.

The club released a medical update the day after the match, confirming issues concerning David Boly and Quentin Ndjantou.

For Boly, the match marked his very first appearance with the professional team. The 16-year-old defender was forced off after around 30 minutes of play after picking up a knock to his ankle. According to PSG, Boly suffered an ankle contusion and will remain under treatment throughout the week.

Ndjantou, meanwhile, is dealing with a muscular issue. The midfielder is experiencing discomfort in his hamstring, and further medical examinations are scheduled in the coming days to assess the extent of the problem.

These two new cases add to a long list of physical setbacks PSG have had to manage throughout an intense and trophy-laden 2025. Speaking recently, Luis Enrique welcomed the arrival of the winter break, highlighting the importance of recovery after such a demanding year.

The Paris coach reiterated his satisfaction with what the team has achieved but also emphasized that rest will be crucial before resuming competition in January, as PSG look to maintain momentum and continue adding silverware in the months ahead.
