Paris Saint-Germain have announced their 20-man squad for the Coupe de France Round of 32 clash against Vendée Fontenay Foot, and the list of absentees is significant: eight players will miss the match, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos.

PSG will close out the 2025 calendar year with a severely depleted squad as they travel to Nantes to face the National 3 side. Six absences were already expected:

  • Achraf Hakimi and Ibrahim Mbaye, currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations
  • Bradley BarcolaLee Kang-in, and Matvey Safonov, all sidelined through injury
  • Willian Pacho, who was granted rest and did not travel

To that list, Luis Enrique and his staff have added two more players as a precaution:

  • Marquinhos, who had just returned from injury against Flamengo and appeared short of full fitness
  • Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, likely rested due to accumulated fatigue

Youth Players Called Up in Numbers

To cope with these absences, PSG have once again turned heavily to their academy. Alongside regular squad players such as Senny Mayulu and Quentin Ndjantou, several young prospects have been included.

Goalkeeper Martin James (fourth-choice), right-back David Boly, and centre-back Noham Kamara all make the trip, as does versatile attacking player Mathis Jangeal. The main surprise is the inclusion of left winger Noah Nsoki, who has featured this season in the Youth League and with the PSG Espoirs.
