Like his players, coaching staff, and sporting advisor Luis Campos, Luis Enrique celebrated passionately on Wednesday night after PSG’s victory over Flamengo in the Intercontinental Cup final, capped by a memorable penalty shootout.
At Paris Saint-Germain, winning trophies goes hand in hand with knowing how to celebrate them. While Luis Enrique has never hidden his dislike for individual awards, the Spanish coach lives for collective success. He fully embraced the moment after PSG lifted the first Intercontinental Cup in the club’s history — and in French football history — as shown in a video shared by the club on Instagram.
His trusted assistant Rafael Pol, who had collected Luis Enrique’s FIFA The Best Coach award the previous evening, also shared several celebratory photos on his own Instagram account.
Luis Campos joined the celebrations as well. The Portuguese sporting advisor posted pictures on X alongside Luis Enrique and the coaching staff, as well as Olivier Gagné, PSG’s Deputy Director of Professional Football, whom Campos previously worked with at Lille.
Goalkeeper coach Borja Álvarez, a key figure behind Matvey Safonov’s decisive penalty shootout performance, also shared multiple images after PSG-Flamengo. One featured Renato Marin, Safonov, Lucas Chevalier and assistant goalkeeping coach Nicolas Cousin.
Below, you can also catch a glimpse of the joy inside the PSG dressing room as the players celebrated their sixth trophy of the 2025 season — a moment to savor.
